Players Rankings Table

This page presents a table ranking players in an order determined by their total individual match results throughout the season.

Table is sortable

This table be sorted by clicking on the column headings.

Click on the Name heading to show players in alphabetical order, so that you can see your rank in each division

Click on the S(ex) heading to separate the ranking of men and ladies

Click on the Division heading to show the top players in each division

Click on the Club heading to show the top players in each club

Click on the Played heading to sort by number of matches played

The columns Rubbers, Games and Points show total won-lost (% won / % played). Each sorts according to the percentage win figure

Ranking - Method of Calculation

The method used to rank players uses the total points won and lost over all games played, with additional bonus or deduction for games and rubbers won or lost. Playing in more matches can lead to a greater aggregated score, so that the players who have consistently won will be ranked higher.

The ranking is calculated separately for each division, so that playing in multiple divisions does not effect the ranking. Players that do play in more than one division will have separate rankings for each division.

The score used to rank players is calculated as follows:

The total points difference in all games played is calculated.

Added to this is a bonus of 10 points for every game won, or 10 points deducted for games lost.

A further bonus of 10 points is added for every rubber won, or 10 points deducted for rubbers lost.

Games that are conceeded are not counted for either pair.
